Die optional erhältliche Federspeicherbremse ist fest am Schlitten montiert und klemmt die Führung, sobald keine Druckluft anliegt. Durch das Aktivieren eines Pneumatikventils (nicht im Lieferumfang) wird die Bremse gelöst.

Als Ventil kann beispielsweise ein Magnetventil vom Typ Festo CPE10-M1BH-3GL-QS-4 (Art.-Nr. 196 846) verwendet werden. Dieses lässt sich direkt am Hardware-Ausgang des XENAX Servocontroller anschließen. Der über die WebMotion® konfigurierte Ausgang „BRAKE“ schließt die Federspeicherbremse automatisch, sobald die Endstufe deaktiviert wird, und löst sie wieder, sobald die Achse in die Regelung geht.

Durch die Montage der Federspeicherbremse reduziert sich der nutzbare Hub der Achse auf der linken Seite (Messsystemseite) um 36 mm.
